Marvin Karon, a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada, University of Toronto’s Faculty of Education and OISE, has appeared in a number of theatrical, film and television productions across Canada and the United States, appearing at the Manitoba Theatre Centre in Winnipeg, the Centaur Theatre in Montreal, Theatre Passe Muraille and the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto as well as Theatre Aquarius in Hamilton. His film and TV credits include working for NBC (Knight Rider), CBS (Airwolf), CBC (Murdoch Mysteries; The Newsroom), CTV (Saving Hope; The Associates), Global (Rookie Blue, Wild Card), HBO (The Rescuers), Showtime (Suits), Showcase (Paradise Falls); BET (Soul Food); Netflix (12 After Midnight; Painkillers); and Amazon Prime (Instar Emergence). On the big screen he has appeared in Charlie Bartlett; Blindness, The Rocker and Dr Cabbie as well as The Apprentice. He has been offering popular on camera acting classes in studios for beginner, intermediate and veteran actors in Toronto and overseas in the UK since 1998 and expanded into online sessions in 2020.

Teaching
Credentials
Marvin has led professional development workshops for teachers at the Globe Theatre in London, England as well as AQ courses at OISE/UT, for York University; conducted workshops for the Toronto District School Board, the York Region District School Board; the Hamilton Wentworth Catholic District School Board and the Halton Catholic District School Board; the CODE conference and Centennial College. He served on the faculty of Fanshawe College, teaching on camera classes which he has also delivered to students at Humber College and George Brown College. He has been offering popular on camera acting classes for beginner, intermediate and veteran actors since 1998 which he began running online in 2020, giving participants a choice in terms of a format under which they might like to study. He visits England at least once a year where, in addition to teaching an on-camera scene study class at the Actors Centre in London, he also teaches drama workshops for young offenders in Wakefield and Leeds, as well as presents workshops all over the country as part of a charitable, non-profit organization he founded with award-winning actor, RH Thomson called Shakespearience. He directs the Shakespearience Summer Experience productions every July as well as the Shakespearience after Hours Experience involving a presentation of scenes from the canon tied together by a theme.
